Original plan was to head on out to Pounders Beach up in Laie, but my buddy called & said it was raining down his side of the island. A quick check on my weather radar app on my phone, confirmed wet conditions. I wanted to stay closer to home so we headed out to Makapuu Beach Park, by that time the rain had passed but I could see more showers moving towards the island. If you look closely there's a rain squall on the right side of the horizon just below the ominous black clouds.
I've shot from this spot before but wasn't very happy with my captures, so I wanted to have a go at it again. Knowing that there were dark rain clouds on the horizon made me very excited! To be able to show movement in the water & sky put me in a state of euphoria! Just prayed that the rain would hold out until after the sunrise, which it did & I captured some really beautiful cloud movements in the sky that morning. Something thats been lacking for the past several months of clear weather.
