I was looking forward to shooting at Lanikai this past weekend, especially after my dismal shooting experience I had last week, see my last blog post. Earlier in the week I decided to see if I could get a different "look" at Lanikai, so I went to the TPE (The Photographers Ephemeris) to see on the map where the sun was rising & where I wanted to shoot. I walked far back past the normal place I shoot from & got some pretty decent shots. As the sun rose I slowly made my way up to the inlet & caught my friend setting up & capturing his long exposure. Mahalo's Brandon for not moving for 4 minutes to do my exposure!
The excitement was back as I shot sunrise but not 100%...almost there though.
I'll be shooting the Pacific Ink & Art Expo, PIAE 2016 this coming weekend & I am looking forward immensely to that shoot!!! Super excited to be going in with only my Fuji XPro 2 & a couple of prime lens. I also picked up an Instax printer, it spits up a credit card size polaroid print that I can send from my camera. It's not a great print but it's a physical print of a memory of some of the people I'll be shooing, something nice to giveback. If your around the Blaisdell Expo Hall on Aug 5th, 6th & 7th stop by to see all the excitement & beautiful body art!
Aloha a hui hou my friends!
